Rehab Connection is owned and operated by leading Speech Pathologist and Case Manager, Sarah. Sarah is supported by a team of experienced allied health practitioners, including occupational therapists, speech pathologists, case managers, a clinical psychologist and a practice manager.

Sarah

Speech Pathologist

Sarah is an experienced Speech Pathologist with nearly 20 years of experience. She has worked across the continuum of care for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI); acute neurological wards, rehabilitation units, transitional living units and in community-based rehabilitation.  She has experience in public and the private sector. This breadth of experience gives her understanding of the unique challenges faced by clients at each stage of their recovery.

Sarah is very passionate about supporting patients with TBI and she enjoys working with clients, their family and their support people to help each individual reach their potential.

Drawn to speech pathology because of her belief that everyone deserves the right to communicate, Sarah is respectful in every situation and interaction. Sarah is compassionate and in-tune with the often challenging circumstances faced by her clients and their families.

Anna

Speech Pathologist

Anna is an experienced Speech Pathologist who has worked with children and adults for almost 20 years. She has specialised expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems. In particular, assessment and implementation of Speech Generating Devices. Anna is also passionate about providing effective and evidence-based support for clients and families to enable everyone to communicate with the important people in their lives.

Rachel

Clinical Psychologist

Rachel is a Clinical Psychologist with over 8 years of experience in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) rehabilitation. Before working as a Clinical Psychologist, Rachel worked as a Case Manager and research assistant with clients with a TBI for 4 years.

Rachel has a special interest in anxiety, mood, trauma and the psychological effects of brain injury on functioning. She helps clients adjust to these changes. Rachel is dedicated to helping clients achieve their rehabilitation goals by working with clients, family and multidisciplinary team members.  Rachel uses her calm and considered nature to work collaboratively with clients to choose a therapy approach they feel will work best for them.

Katherine

Katherine

Occupational Therapist and Case Manager

Katherine has over 20 years experience as an  Occupational Therapist and Case manager.  Her extensive work experience includes time in Australia and abroad in clinical settings including acute hospital care, rehabilitation, traumatic injury recovery and neurological rehabilitation.

Katherine also has worked as the Occupational Therapy Student Educator at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney.

Katherine embodies the principles of high quality rehabilitation, calmly helping her clients to achieve their therapy goals with a positive attitude and good sense of humour.

Antonella

Speech Pathologist

Antonella has more than 15 years of experience as a speech pathologist specialising in working with adults with acquired brain injuries. Since graduating from the University of Sydney in 2003, Antonella has worked in a variety of settings (from acute care to community) both in the United Kingdom and in Australia. With extensive experience in the management of communication and swallowing disorders and the rehabilitation journey, Antonella adopts a client-centred, wholistic and evidence-based approach to her treatment, involving all members of a client’s team.

In addition to working for Rehab Connection, Antonella also works as a speech pathologist in one of the Sydney Metro specialist Brain Injury services.

Antonella’s clients value her warm, easy manner in helping them reach their potential.

Amanda

Practice Manager 

Amanda has extensive experience in administration and bookkeeping having worked in the finance industry for more than 22 years before switching to allied health. Bringing a wealth of skills to the role, Amanda provides crucial administrative support to the Rehab Connection team and our clients. She is responsible for scheduling appointments, sending out reminders and managing referrals.

Amanda is innovative and tech savvy.  She approaches her work with friendly efficiency.
