Meet Antonella

Speech Pathologist

A self-described ‘bleeding heart’ Antonella is a speech pathologist with more than 15 years’ experience working with adults with acquired brain injuries. After graduating from the University of Sydney, Antonella has worked in Australia and the United Kingdom in a range of clinical settings including acute and community care.

A specialist in the management of communication and swallowing disorders, Antonella is a dedicated therapist, committed to helping her clients improve their communication skills.

She takes a client-centred and holistic approach to her work, and always displays warmth and empathy to clients and their families and carers. Her deep understanding of the challenges that individuals face on their rehabilitation journeys plays an important role in her care approach and she strongly believes a client’s wishes and goals should always remain integral to their care and treatment plan. She always goes that extra step to make sure they get the help and services they need.

Antonella is a committed life-long learner, and is very focussed on making sure her therapy is based on current evidence. She always seeks out new opportunities for learning and looks to make changes to her practice that will benefit her clients.

Antonella is also known at Rehab Connection as a great team player. She always seeks out colleagues who are also working with her clients, to collaborate and compliment their therapies, and help clients reach their rehab goals.
